When to travel ?

Because of the mighty Himalayas, there are several climate zones and weather changes drastically within these three countries.

The vertically rising altitude, hidden valleys, arid high plateaus, glaciers, and freshwater lakes make small pockets of different climate zones.
Travelling to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan in one trip, travelers have to be prepared for dramatic changes in altitude and weather accordingly. Similarly, there is also a short time frame when the weather is best in all countries.
While tours of Nepal and Bhutan are best throughout winter, Tibet experiences extreme cold and harsh weather. Similarly, Tibet could be visited throughout the summer, but monsoon rains affect travelling in Nepal and Bhutan.
By the end of August, monsoon rain subsides and the Himalayas become clear from Nepal and Bhutan in the southern slopes, while the temperature in Tibet is still pleasant. The months of April-May and September-October are the best for visiting all three of these Himalayan countries. The temperature reaches a modest level for each country during those months.

Trip Review

An unique experience

When planning my trip through the Himalayan countries I wrote to several tour-operators based in Kathmandu, given that there is the "base camp" to enter in Tibet and Bhutan. From all those to whom I wrote I only received replies from 2 of them and in the process of feedback I chose iTour Nepal, not only because of it's good ranking of comments here in T.A. but also for having shown interest in assisting enthusiastically in my process of planning the trip. ..
In summary iTour Nepal made this trip an unforgettable experience, with very professional and personalized assistance.
